Essentials of Major Donor Fundraising

26 March 2008 in Christchurch, New Zealand

This workshop is presented jointly with international fundraising consultants Brakeley Ltd.

Brakeley Fundraising & Management Consultants

Most donors, when asked why they gave to a particular cause, will say it’s because they were asked. And yet, few fundraising campaigns research and plan strategically around making each individual approach.

This full day workshop will teach you about the 80:20 rule: the 7 steps for planning your fundraising; making your case for support; "fundraising or friend raising?"; volunteer leadership; researching individuals; and making the ask. You will learn from case studies from successful gift strategies and there will be an opportunity to sound out any issues, challenges and ideas you have with your own proposals
